The Annual Flag Day Celebration

The Meaning of Flag Day which is Celebrated each year on June 14, Flag Day celebrates the day when the national flag was officially adopted by the Second Continental Congress in 1777.
Many Americans unofficially adopted the practice of celebrating and displaying flags on June 14th. In 1916, President Wilson issued a proclamation in honor of the day.
The Town of North East has participated in the Annual Flag Day Observance for over thirty years.
The Nation’s Flag is raised, and the Pledge of Allegiance is said at exactly 7 PM in unison with other communities across the nation.
