The historic Old Town Lock Up, located at 102 West Cecil Avenue, is available for approved community, educational, civic, arts, museum, exhibit, and tourism-related uses.

The Town of North East seeks to use this restored historic property in a way that encourages meaningful community engagement, draws residents and visitors into Town, and preserves the character and appearance of the building. Proposed uses must be appropriate for the space and aligned with the Town’s mission for the property.

How to Apply

Individuals and organizations interested in using the Old Town Lock Up must complete the application below and submit it to the Town of North East for review.

Applications may be submitted for:

• Single events
• Seasonal or periodic use
• Ongoing use with consistent, publicly posted hours
• Multi-day rentals, including weekend or three-day reservations, when appropriate

Submitting an application does not guarantee approval. All applications will be reviewed by the Town before a reservation is finalized. The Town may also require applicants to share the space with other approved organizations when scheduling permits.
