If you observe a water main break, loss of water service, unusually low water pressure, or any other suspected issue with the Town’s water system, please contact us as soon as possible.

During Regular Business Hours

Please call 410-287-5801 to report the issue directly to Water Department staff.

After Hours, Weekends, and Holidays

Please call the North East Police Department non-emergency line at 410-287-5996. If a water system issue is identified, the officer on duty will notify the appropriate Water Department personnel.

If your call is not answered, the officer may be responding to another call or conducting patrol duties. In that case, please contact the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office Non-Emergency Dispatch Line at (410) 996-5500 or the Cecil County Department of Emergency Services at (410) 996-5350. Please advise the dispatcher that you believe the Town of North East is experiencing a water-related issue and that you would like the Town of North East Police Department to be notified.

The Town utilizes Cecil County’s dispatch system for notifications.
