The Town of North East will be conducting semi-annual fire hydrant flushing on Sunday, April 20, 2025 thru Friday, April 25, 2025. Periodic fire hydrant flushing is necessary to ensure the proper functioning of the fire hydrants and to purge the water distribution system of sediment. Residents may experience some decrease in water pressure, as well as discoloration in their water shortly after this maintenance program. Check for water discoloration prior to doing laundry. If so, residents are advised to run a non-screen cold water tap until clears.
