Subject: Town of North East Comprehensive Rezoning
The North East Planning Commission has completed their Comprehensive Rezoning, in accordance with the 2004 North East Comprehensive Plan. Amendments have been made to the North East Zoning Ordinance and the Official Zoning Maps. The consulting firm of Redman/Johnston Associates, Ltd. (RJA) of Easton, Maryland, was retained to assist the Town in this project.
This phase of the project includes a comprehensive review of the Town's Zoning Ordinance and Official Zoning Maps. After adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Official Zoning Maps, the Planning Commission will continue to work on revisions to the North East Subdivision Regulations and create a Design Manual and Standard Specifications and Details for Site Development.
A major goal throughout this entire project was to have public involvement and input. As a resident of the Town of North East, you are encouraged to review and comment on the draft revisions and recommendations proposed for the Zoning Ordinance and Official Zoning Maps. You are encouraged to attend the followings meetings:
